The Palestinian Museum is an open space for communication, learning, and hope. It is keen on providing knowledgeable, enjoyable, and safe experiences for visitors of all backgrounds.

Through its dedicated team, the museum offers paid guided individual and group tours of its various spaces.

You may buy your tickets from the Palestinian Museum at the reception, or online before visiting here.

Payments in local currency. Based on current exchange rates, other currencies are accepted only in urgent circumstances and are limited to USD, EUR, and JOD.

Admission to the Palestinian Museum is free of charge for minors (under 18 years old), our Palestinian Museum Membership Programme cardholders, ICOM members, and the press.

Exhibition tour

This tour offers the chance to explore our exhibitions, easily and fascinatingly, by focusing on their themes, highlighting their sections, and sharing information that might be missed during a regular tour.

Exhibition tour

Gardens tour

The Museum gardens tell the agricultural and botanical history of Palestine.

As you move between the gardens, you will see aromatic and medicinal plants embracing legumes and field grain crops, all surrounded by wild and fruit trees. These plants take turns appearing with the seasons, some growing in the absence of others.

This tour is your chance to enjoy the gardens with all your senses and to learn about these plants scientifically as well as culturally through their connection to Palestinian folklore.

The tour occasionally takes place during spring and autumn as part of our monthly programme. See What’s On at that time of year to save the date for a tour.

If you and your group would like a tour outside of our programme times, you can book 2 weeks in advance and a special expert will be your guide. Contact our Visitors Management officer regarding tour fees and availability.

Collections tour

On this tour, you can explore important aspects of Palestinian history through the Museum’s ethnographic (heritage) collection, artworks, posters, and historical documents.

This collection is not always on display, so this tour is your chance to view these objects up close.

Education tour for kids

This tour draws on sharing, imagination, and fun as fundamental incentives for knowledge gaining.

We present this intergenerational-oriented tour to children and adolescents aged 5-16 and their families.

With the accompaniment of a guide, families on this tour will enjoy shared quality time with their children learning and taking part in activities inspired by the exhibition.

Tour duration: 60 minutes.

The Palestinian Museum is an architectural landmark with modern flair, its construction blended with the consecutive ridges (sanasil) that characterise Palestinian hills.

It is aesthetically in harmony with the surrounding environment, while also being unique in Palestine in terms of the shapes and materials used in its making.

This tour highlights the building’s design and aesthetics and the engineering challenges that accompanied its construction.

This includes a tour of the gardens, interspersed through which are artworks part of our permanent collection.

Green building tour

This tour presents specialised knowledge of the Palestinian Museum’s distinction as a green (environmentally friendly) building and model in sustainable construction, that reduces energy and water consumption as well as other resources.

The Museum designs tours that include various activities for school students and special tours for teachers and those who work with children.

The tours are inspired by its exhibitions and based on an awareness of how vital interactive education is in stimulating creative abilities and critical thinking and encouraging self-expression.

They provide children and teachers alike with inspirational educational resources.

School tours are free of charge.

Rina Khatib

Rina Khatib

Rina Khatib is the Palestinian Museum Visitors Management Officer. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Birzeit University and has worked in the museum sector since graduating out of a passion for the arts, history, and museums. Rina shares this passion by organising tours of the Museum.

Rina will accompany you on exhibition tours.

Baha Jubeh

Baha Jubeh is the Palestinian Museum Collections and Conservation Manager and Museum Curator for the Dar Al-Tifel Al-Arabi Museum in Jerusalem. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Archaeology from Birzeit University and a Master’s degree in Jerusalem Studies from the Al-Quds University Jerusalem Studies Centre.

Baha will accompany you on collections and conservation studio tours.

Bara Bawatneh

Bara Bawatneh is the Palestinian Museum Collections Unit Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in Palestinian archaeology from Birzeit University and a Diploma in Foundation in Travel and Tourism from the Amadeus Travel and Tourism Academy. She has participated in training courses in the Conservation and Preservation of paper, paste, and documents by the British Library and Textile conservation and preservation by the Victoria's Albert Museum.

Bara will accompany you on collections and conservation studio tours.

Sarah Zahran

Sarah Zahran is the Palestinian Museum Education Programme Officer. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Sciences from Birzeit University. She specializes in teaching and curricula development for children and adolescents. She has several publications in this field, in addition to publications of children’s stories.

Sarah will accompany you on family and school tours.

Lana Obaida

Lana Obaida

Lana Obaida is the Palestinian Museum Education Programme Assistant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Archaeology and a Diploma in Teaching History from Birzeit University. She has also participated in a training course on educational programming across several French museums.

Lana will accompany you on family and school tours.

Ayman Tubaila, Eng.

Ayman Tubaila, Eng. is the Palestinian Museum Assistant Director of Facilities. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Yarmouk University in Jordan and has many years of experience in engineering and consulting work.

Ayman will accompany you on the Museum building and Green Building tour.

Bashar Ammar, Eng.

Bashar Ammar, Eng.

Bashar Ammar, Eng. is the Palestinian Museum Facilities Manager. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, is a Certified Facilities Manager (Licensed) (CFM) and has a Facility Management Professional (FMP) certificate from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). Bashar was responsible for the spatial engineering work during the construction of the Museum.
