Responsibilities
The Palestinian Museum Network & Support Engineer will be responsible for and deliver below tasks:
- Implementation and configuration for open source Systems such Zabbix, Squid Proxy, DHCP or any other systems.
- Office 365, Windows 7 & 10, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server.
- Manage and administered Linux and Windows Server and Client Systems.
- Implementing high availability and redundancy on key services.
- Knowledge in Servers and Network Security.
- Installing and configuring computer systems.
- Diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems (Servers, Switches, Personal computer or any computed device) and Cisco Networks.
- Talking staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Manages network operations including troubleshooting connectivity problems, installing & maintaining routers, adding/terminating users, assigning rights and access, resetting passwords, establishing e-mail addresses, assessing and reporting operational status, performing backups and restores or any others.
- Conducts technology orientation and exit briefing for all staff; prepares technology and systems for new and existing staff.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance on hardware and software.
- Testing and evaluating new technology.

Scope of Responsibilities and Supervision
The Palestinian Museum Digitization Manager will be responsible for managing network and computing system at the Museum.

- Internal Relationships: collaborate with the ICT Team and with other departments for support
- External Relationships: None

Academic qualifications and practical experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

- 2-4 years in Networking and IT Support

Skills and Abilities
- Experience with VMWare, Skype for Business, Veeam Backup and Replications

- Linux System Administration
- In depth knowledge of CISCO Networking technologies

- Meticulous,
- technically skilled
