In collaboration with the Faculty of Art, Music, and Design at Birzeit University, join us with Abu Hashhash for a reading and analysis into the artworks in This is Not an Exhibition, during which he will highlight the prominent features and characteristics of the Gaza Art Scene and musings of specific artworks or artists’ oeuvres, in an attempt to delve deeper into the aesthetics, concerns, and sensitivities they embody.

About Mahmoud Abu Hashhash

A writer and poet living in Ramallah, he works as the Director of the Culture and Arts Programme at the A.M. Qattan Foundation. He studied English literature at Birzeit University and earned an MFA in Criticism and Curatorial Practice from City University in London. In addition to his literary writing, where he has published a poetry collection and a novel, Abu Hashhash writes critical articles about art and visual culture in Palestine and has edited and contributed to several art books and catalogues.
