The Museum presents and engages with new perspectives on Palestinian history, society and culture. It also offers spaces for creative ventures, educational programmes and innovative research. The Museum is a flagship project of Taawon-Welfare Association and one of the most exciting new cultural projects in Palestine.
The Palestinian Museum is seeking a self-motivated and innovative Reporting and Donation Management Officer to join its busy fundraising team. The officer will work in coordination with the Development and Partnerships department staff and the wider team to complement and amplify the Museum’s fundraising mission.
Job Summary
The officer will have overall responsibility for the management of institutional donor contracts and donation requirements for individual donors. S/he will be responsible for managing the activities and the direction of all donor accounts, ensuring that robust contract management is an integral part of the Palestinian Museum’s fundraising operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage institutional donor contracts; this includes compliance management and writing quality and timely narrative and financial reports.
- Manage individual donors and memberships; this includes writing reports, newsletters, and thank-you letters, in addition to preparing membership benefits.
- Maintain filing of all grant documents both in paper and electronic forms.
- Work closely with the project teams responsible for the technical and financial management of donor-funded projects for the preparation of donor reports, updates, responses to queries from donors, and well-justified changes to the project where necessary.
- Provide guidance on donor requirements and controls over the course of a given project.
- Lead inception meetings and preparation of information packs for all donor-funded projects.
- Prepare, share and maintain donor requirement monitoring sheets.
- Participate in the identification of and research on prospective donors.
- Participate in the development of project ideas and in the writing of new and renewed grants.
- Prepare funding status reports and analysis.
- Maintain annual calendar of donor reports.
- Maintain annual calendar of donor application submissions.
- Update the Salesforce database regularly and accurately.
- Implement any other task.
Requirements
- Ability to write and speak clearly, concisely and persuasively in English and Arabic.
- Previous experience working with donors.
- Experience in managing major donor grants in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in drafting high-quality narrative and financial donor reports.
- Experience in project monitoring and implementation is an asset.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and competing deliverables.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Enthusiasm for the Palestinian Museum, Palestinian culture, arts, history and society.
- Analytical rigour, intellectual creativity and original ideas.
- Positive and highly motivated attitude.
