Title: Photographer – Audio-Visual Content Producer & Editor.
Department: Public Engagement and Production.
Supervisor: Director of the Public Engagement and Production Department.
Scope of work: Producing visual and audio content (photography and videography) for the Palestinian Museum.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Under the direct supervision of the Director of the Public Engagement and Production Department, the Photographer – Audio-Visual Content Producer and Editor is expected to align with the Palestinian Museum’s strategic direction and adhere to its approved policies and procedures. This role contributes to the realization of the Museum’s mission and vision by producing compelling visual narratives — through photography and video — that document, promote, and interpret the Museum’s programs, exhibitions, and projects, and that contribute to the articulation of narratives about Palestine’s history, culture, and society.
Accordingly, the Photographer – Audio-Visual Content Producer and Editor shall undertake the following responsibilities:
- Document all of the Museum’s public programs and activities through both still photography and video.
- Edit and produce documentary videos of Museum activities and upload them to the Museum’s official YouTube channel.
- Produce short-form video content tailored for social media platforms.
- Develop engaging visual stories for Instagram and other platforms.
- Film interviews with artists, curators, guests, and other stakeholders.
- Document the Museum’s exhibitions, in line with the exhibition’s curatorial and artistic vision.
- Photograph exhibition objects, artworks, and collection items whether displayed in galleries, the collection room, or elsewhere on Museum premises.
- Photograph Museum Shop merchandise for promotional use.
- Edit and retouch images using Adobe Photoshop or other professional editing software and deliver them in publish-ready formats.
- Organize, archive, and classify visual materials in accordance with the Museum’s documentation protocols.
- Liaise with external photographers contracted by the Museum, oversee their deliverables, and coordinate file transfers.
- Ensure flexibility in working across a range of activities inside and outside the Museum and during non-standard hours when required.
- Supervise university-level interns supporting photography and documentation tasks.
- Undertake any additional photography-related duties as requested by the line manager.

Direct Reports: None.
Internal Relations: Collaborates with team members within the department and across Museum units.
External Relations: Engages with external collaborators, service providers, and relevant stakeholders.
Job Requirements
1. Academic Qualifications and Professional Experience:
- A relevant academic degree in video production or a related field, or demonstrable professional experience in photography and videography using professional equipment.
2. Skills and Competencies:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in photography, video production, and editing, preferably within the cultural, artistic, or creative sectors in Palestine.
- Proficiency in editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, or equivalent programs.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop or other professional photo editing software.
- Basic familiarity with design software is an asset.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to work beyond regular hours as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Commitment to full-time work at the Palestinian Museum.
- Legal eligibility to reside and work in Palestine.
