With Amer Shomali, artist and director of the Palestinian Museum

Location: Tiraz: Widad Kawar Home for Arab Dress, Amman

Join Tiraz and the Palestinian Museum for a conversation with Amer Shomali about rethinking museum practice amid the ongoing genocide. Drawing on the Palestinian Museum’s experience, Shomali explores how museums can counter colonial narratives and give communities a greater say in how their cultural heritage is safeguarded and shared. The conversation also asks how cultural institutions might rethink their role in times of crisis, and what they owe the communities they serve
