Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Amjad Barham, Minister of Education and Higher Education, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education presents Land and Identity: A Tribute to Fathi Ghaben, in collaboration with the Palestinian Museum and the Tamer Institute for Community Education. The exhibition brings together more than 200 works created by children and young people, arranged across six sections spanning different approaches, themes, and artistic styles. It features works by deaf students; pieces by young artists inspired by Fathi Ghaben and Dia al-Azzawi; submissions to the Artist of the Year competition; and drawings by younger children, filled with their own worlds and superheroes.

Here, children and young people from across the West Bank pay tribute to the artist and martyr Ghaben, not by imitating his work, but by responding to it in their own visual languages, rethinking land and identity along the way. Their works offer many ways of seeing Palestine, telling its stories, and giving form to people, places, memory, and imagination.

Developed through an enduring partnership between the Museum and the Ministry, the exhibition is grounded in a shared belief that the Museum is not only a place to present art, but also a space where children and young people’s creativity is nurtured, their artistic practice can grow, and their work can enter into dialogue with artists who have left a deep mark on Palestinian visual memory.
