Adam Rouhana Studio

Saturday, 13 December, 11:00–15:00
Location: the Palestinian Museum
Language: Arabic

Join us for the Adam Rouhana Studio, inspired by the legacy of pioneering Palestinian photographers such as Karimeh Abboud and Khalil Raad.

Rouhana references the aesthetics of early studio portraiture in Palestine through his pop-up studio within the Museum. Using a large-format 8 × 10 analogue camera, he will create contemporary portraits that echo the beauty and character of early Palestinian photography. Each portrait takes fifteen minutes and is designed for one person. You are welcome to bring a cherished personal item: a favourite book, a key, earrings, or even a photograph of someone dear, to be recorded alongside your portrait using a scanning technique that carries these memories forward.
