We invite you to join an interactive tour of the Khalil Raad exhibition, led by Palestinian photographer Adam Rouhana and Nadi Abusaada, focusing on Rouhana’s installation Permission to Narrate. In this work, Rouhana draws on the large-format photographic techniques that characterised Khalil Raad’s practice, directing them toward contemporary portraiture in Palestine today. His work does not merely echo Raad’s visual language; it reworks and repositions it within a present marked by deep fragmentation, intensified by the war on Gaza and by ongoing attempts to sever the lifelines of Palestinian material culture.
This tour offers an opportunity to engage closely with the visual dialogue between two eras and to reflect on the questions the work opens around memory, representation, and the role of photography in Palestine today.
