“Huna Baqoun” (Here we remain) revisits Palestinian musical memory, drawing on songs and medleys from the repertoires of Marcel Khalife, George Kirmiz, Jamil el-Sayeh, Sabreen, and others. Moving between heritage and homeland, love and belonging, the programme holds fast to land and identity while finding joy in voices raised together.

Founded in Ramallah in 2022 and led by Emile Ashrawi and el-Sayeh, the Forum of Expertise community choir brings together singers of different ages and backgrounds through a shared love of music and the spirit of the city. Its earlier programme, “Baqoun,” was presented in Ramallah in 2024 and 2025, and several of its songs remain part of the choir’s repertoire today.
