Weaving does not begin at the loom, but in the land: in the pastures that feed the sheep, and in the wool that, guided by skilled hands and imagination, becomes textiles that warm our bodies, adorn our homes, and carry the trace of place.

Join us for an open day exploring Palestinian weaving as a craft and a form of knowledge, rooted in the relationship between people and nature and carried across generations as an expression of creativity and culture.

The open day offers the chance to:

• Trace the story of Palestinian weaving, and its relationship to land, wool, and traditional craft.
• Meet women weavers from As Samou', and discover hand weaving techniques passed down across generations.
• Explore Palestinian rugs and textiles, and the stories, symbols, and techniques they carry.
• Try weaving on small looms and learn the basics of this longstanding craft.
• Make crochet artworks inspired by Palestinian symbols and motifs.
