What happens when plants leave the garden?

Join us for a family open day inspired by plants, colour, light, and the land. Guided by artist Yara Bamieh, children and families will explore colour, transparency, and light as they transform the Museum’s windows into living installations. As daylight changes, colours and shadows will fall across the space, forming a collective window mural that shifts throughout the day.

Together, children and families will:

• Look closely at plants and their parts, then reimagine them in new shapes and compositions.
• Explore how plants can turn into colour and light.
• Create a collective window mural at the Museum.

The workshop will be followed by a live performance with Mira Abu Hilal and Jalal Nader, bringing together stories and songs drawn from the land—songs for the Palestinian thobe, flowers, and gazelles on the hills.

Join your children in a shared learning experience where plants travel from the garden into glass, thobes, stories, and grandmothers’ songs.
