Our relationship with the land in Palestine embodies a living landscape where the natural and the cultural are deeply intertwined. The plants that grow here are not merely green elements, but living memories and stories of roots extending back thousands of years. In this tour, we will explore the museum gardens with Dr. Omar Tesdell through a different lens, using methods of documenting, analysing, and archiving elements of Palestinian environmental design.
In addition, the workshop will focus on the interaction between the cultural and natural landscapes, including the environmental and botanical diversity they hold, as well as the cultural practices and traditions derived from the plants that grow in this environment.

We invite you to join us for a tour during the spring season, during which you will discover aromatic and medicinal plants growing alongside legumes and field grain crops, surrounded by wild and fruit-bearing trees.

The tour will be followed by an art workshop with artist Sarah Awashra, where participants will learn imaginative drawing techniques and ways of blending flowers, plants, fantasy, and dreams using various artistic media and materials such as ink, chalk, and pastels.

Participants will also create stories that reconnect them with childhood memories and explore ways of revisiting those memories through artistic tools.
