Saturday 25 July 2026 (Session 1: 12:00–14:00, Session 2: 15:00–17:00)
Location: the Palestinian Museum
Language: Arabic
Join artist Lara Salous for a workshop in basic table loom weaving. Participants will be introduced to the essential tools and vocabulary of weaving, from the loom and shuttle to wool yarn and weaving comb, before trying their hand at weaving with natural wool.
The workshop focuses on basic and kilim weaving techniques, explored through practice and experimentation. Together, participants will create a shared woven piece, while reflecting on the relationship between weaving and land, on wool as a natural material, and on craft as inherited knowledge whose threads carry histories of labour, everyday life, and creativity.
Designed for anyone curious about hand weaving, this workshop introduces one of the oldest textile crafts.
Places are very limited.
