Learning between museum and school

Conversation with Sonia Nimr

Wednesday 22 July 2026, 11:00–13:00
Location: the Palestinian Museum and online via Zoom
Language: Arabic

When does a school visit become more than a day at the museum: an encounter that stays with students, shaping how they think and how they relate to place, memory, and culture?

In this conversation with Sonia Nimr, we explore the museum as a place of learning. Here, objects are not only displayed, but read closely, listened to, and brought into dialogue, allowing meaning to take shape through experience and participation.

Drawing on experiences that have brought the Palestinian Museum and schools together, the conversation asks how teachers and the Museum can shape visits that extend the classroom and open space for students to learn through discovery, inquiry, and working together.

Teachers, educators, and anyone interested in learning are invited to join us to exchange ideas and experiences, and imagine new forms of learning between school and museum
